The Northeast Georgia Tree Planting for Ecosystem Restoration and Green Jobs Project

The Northeast Georgia Tree Planting for Ecosystem Restoration and Green Jobs project goal is to create and retain green industry and private sector jobs and thus stimulate economic recovery in Northeast Georgia which has been profoundly impacted by the slump in our economy.

In addition, this project offers forestry related technical and financial assistance to many communities in the Chestatee-Chattahoochee, Upper Ocmulgee River and Oconee River RC&D Council areas that will create healthy and sustainable ecosystem benefits as a result of tree plantings in urban and community environments.
